Cat Ring

Cats self-domesticated with humans many thousands of years ago because we had a mutually beneficial relationship: they get free food and we get pest control. In ancient Egypt, they were associated with the goddesses Isis (associated with motherhood, mourning, and magical healing, linked also to pharaohs and kingship) and Bastet (protector of the king associated with childbirth, protection from evil and contagious disease and often depicted with a cat head).

Part of my Spirit Animal collection, this friendly little symbolic cat ring has head and tail wrapped around the finger. It is textured with a hammer and finished with a dark patina.

Each one is handmade in recycled tarnish-resistant sterling silver and is designed to be easily adjusted to fit over large knuckles or on one of those days when your ring fits too loose or tight (sizable up or down by about a 1/4 to 1/2 size). All of my rings are made in my eco-friendly studio and use recycled metals.
