Artisan’s Bio

Cindy Seiwert is now an artisan working with glass, still using the skills she developed during her graduate education in neuroscience. Before making the decision to leave an academic career behind, she followed a path that was dedicated to science. Upon graduation from Earlham College, she attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY where she earned her doctorate in Biological Psychology in 1993. She taught briefly at Wesleyan University. Cindy has been an artisan for the past few years and started her business, StonesThrow Studio, in 1996. Since that time she has sold work through her studio, local galleries, and art shows.
